We have previously discussed ‘What “Mind Over Matter” Really Means’. Here we to deal with what makes the shift from “mind over matter” to “matter of mind”?

As God made us, essentially the best ideas of our general well-being come from Him and they are nearly entirely communicated to us through the voice of conscious in our minds, as stated in the previous article. This indicates that the person is a living soul, or spiritually awake to her duties towards God and fellow human beings. The word of God, the Bible, and prayer is essential to keep this communication alive, while nature’s beautys support this process.

The change comes when we stop listening to and following God. We then become spiritually dead, whilst physically alive. From this point onward we are left to rely on our brain and heart for direction. This is why so many encourage others to “follow your heart”.

This is very unwise for mainly three reasons; firstly, “the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps”, secondly, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” and thirdly, man’s “imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually”. (Jeremiah 10:23; 17:9; Genesis 6:5)

No good thing comes out from the body, mind or heart without God; in fact all that comes from the body is selfish, sensual and devilish. He counsels us not rely on our hearts!

What promotes this change

Things that promotes this change are also indicted by God. He says that whosoever “liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth” (1 Timothy 5:6). Pleasure here includes anything that destroys that important communication with God; inappropriate entertainment, false education, immodest fashion, harmful pharmaceuticals and the alike. It is these things that take God’s place when we reject Him and they become our source of reference and standard in life, and leaning on them we can never excel beyond them, rather deteriorate.

They are the result of the work of God’s enemy, that “old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world“, the god of this world who “hath blinded the minds of many”. (Revelation 12:9; 2 Corinthians 4:4)

This change will sow seeds of disease, because anything God put in place for man’s wellbeing will be replace. Natural law that teaches us the best foods to eat, the importance of sunshine, fresh air, water, rest, exercise and trusting in God, will no longer matter to the individual. The result will be sure, diseases connected to eating (diabetes), no exercise (hypertension), trust in God (hopelessness), water (headaches), etc. Whatever or whoever promotes this change, that you should trust your heart and your own ideas, is not your friend. Yes, that’s right.

How to avoid change

As seen in our previous article; 1) The body is represented as country, 2) The brain as its capital and the mind is the government, 3) and the voice of conscious as the head of state or king. The only way to avoid this change, or societal breakdown, is to have God as our ‘head of state’; meaning He is always to be King in our minds as indicated in these words; “I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:3)

We should exercise our will to love and obey Christ, not as this world, His citizens who hates Him and express by their action that we “will not have this man to reign over us” (Luke 19:14). Only then will you have mind power to rule the body to obey Christ, who always shows us how to do good, for real!

In fact God concludes it precisely and perfectly Himself, saying that you “shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30-31)

It is God’s design that conscious, His voice, should direct the mind, and the mind to rule the body. All of the human being will be joyous to God and to his fellow humans. God made us in His image and is now working on restoring us to His ideal. Work with Him, it’s worth it.

Mind over Matter!
