Love of money is the root of evil, but used rightly it bring relief and blessings to the suffering. This is true for things we possess including both material but also mental skill we have. They have one common denominator, all belong to God and He has given them us and made us stewards of His property. He expects us to use and multiply them. And from the Christian’s increase, has He ear-marked ten percent to be willing and joyful returned to Him. It’s a duty and it’s sacred. He has called this tithe.

Baptism – Getting Married to Christ (19)

When we receive Christ joyfully, sincerely and intelligently into our hearts, with baptism we tell the world “I have decided to follow Jesus”, I now belong to Him.

In a very similar way it’s like marriage. Because the church or it’s members, is symbolized as the wife, Christ is now our husband. A successful marriage relationship will need truthfulness, loyalty, love, endurance, patience and other-like adjectives.

W may be in the same body, but our mind, strength, desires, passions and ambitions are no longer used for selfishness but for that which makes Christ smile.

We learn from the Bible that every person’s loyalty will be tested in the end-time crisis. Whose commandments will we choose to obey, Christ’s or Antichrist’s? This is connected to the many theories about the Mark of the Beast. Is it a chip, tattoo, or barcode etc? What does the Bible say the Mark of the Beast is? It will be clear that Jesus alone is worthy of worship for He made us, is able to recreate us perfectly and take us through the impending conflict, and thus receiving the Seal of God.
